Although this book was published in 1884 there are still a large selection available on the market so it is not really that rare.
I have an 1855 Webster's dictionary. The pages are in good condition, but the cover is worn. It is leather bound.
You can go to an auction house for antiques and talk with them. The issue here would be the condition of the cover. I'd say that you should be able to sell this for around $100 - 150 easily. The price is always based on the supply and demand plus the condition of the book.

If you tried to sell this now, you'd not earn much on it. Too bad it is a bit older because all books over 100 years can earn a good price. This book can still have value and the only way to find out for sure is through an auction house in your area.
I am trying to find value of a dictionary I own. It is a Webster's - An American Dictionary of the English Language, published in 1900.
It is a revised edition of the original dictionary first published in 1828.It is over 100 years old, so it qualifies as an antique. I would go to a few antique book dealers to get appraisals.

I have a copy of the Consolidated Webster's encyclopedia reference dictionary. There is no date, but there is a colored picture inside the cover Do not know age or value?
The hard cover is worn.
Normally, all books have a cover page or a page that explains the date, publication and all the other information about the book. It appears yours is missing or you can't find it. The only way to do this is through an auction house in your area. They have all types of experts for auction houses that can determine this better than anyone else. I would go there and ask for their advice on this.

I am curious the value of my book. I realize that in some cases mass production means there are many copies out there. But in this case I haven't been able to find a match to mine (just one that was close) in order to establish a value.
The front cover binding has pulled away and the leather cover is worn. The inside pages and those with color are still vibrant and in excellent condition.

What is ballpark value of a 1924 Webster's New International Dictionary with Reference History? This is a single large volume in very good condition with no visible wear on the cover.
The binding & pages are also in very good condition. Overall it appears to have been very well cared for.
I came across this big thick dictionary that I planned on hollowing out and making it into a hidden storage thing... just for funzies. I opened it up and in the letter S section, about 20 pages were put in upside down! The cover is not in good shape. Is this worth looking into, or should I use it for my crafty idea?

There are no pages ripped out or missing. I want to know what it's worth.The latest date is 1931. It is less than 100 years old, so it is not an antique. At this time it is not worth much. You might want to save it for when it does become an antique.

You would be very lucky to sell it for $10 and that would have to be someplace like on Craigslist with no shipping involved.
It is a rare occasion that anyone has a use for a dictionary as the Internet is too easy and available to use. Spell checking almost did away with the common use for a dictionary and schools all use on line varieties.
It is difficult to donate as most thrift stores and library book sales do not want them. 1931 is not really that old in terms of collectable books so if you want to try to sell it just put an ad on Craigslist and see what happens.
Sorry to say--------not worth much. Your best bet to get rid of them is to donate them to a local thrift shop and ask for a receipt for tax purposes.
