Reuse Old Broaches as Refrigerator Magnets

I find old unused broaches, take the back clip off and add a magnet to the back. I use them on the refrigerator to hold notes and stuff.

I'll bet that would work with earrings also. My mother-in-law left me all her jewlery and she favored the clip on 'ear bobs' that I don't wear. Most of them are really inexpensive but I would like to have them out in memory of her and our special relationship. This sounds like a good way. Thanks

I LOVE IT! This sounds so cute, and I just adore making things with old jewelry. Only a couple days ago I was looking at some cute novelty brooches I had from a few years ago, wondering what to do with them.
