Simply cut out the bottom and slit down the side of a grocery sack. Use to wrap packages you mail. Why waste money on buying packaging paper when this works just as well!

I've done this. Too bad stores aren't using paper as much any more. Used to use paper bags for school book covers as well. Half the fun was decorating your book during lectures. :) Now I use the paper you wrap meat in (name eludes me right now) on my kids school books. Not as cost affective but still fun.
I think you mean butcher paper.
Oh yes! I used to wrap packages in the brown paper bags all the time. And Suntydt brought back some fond memories about making book covers from the bags too. But in my area, stores just don't have them any more.
