To prevent brooms from slipping when you prop them against a wall, cut off the finger of an old rubber glove and slide over the handle.

Chell, that is a great idea.

For someone who doesn't have the rubber glove
though, you can always use rubber bands around
the top end of your broom handle until you get
some old rubber gloves. I use the big blue ones
taken off broccoli bunches that we purchase at the
supermarket. It works good too.

Thanks for the new idea.

All the best to everyone,
Julia in Orlando, FL
