Creating Extra Counter Space For Baking |
Our kitchen did not have enough work space. My sister likes to bake, and did not have the space to roll out dough, etc., without moving things all around.
For a gift, I went to a local lumber yard and asked the man to cut a 2' x 3' 1/4 in. piece of plywood. I then took 6-decorative stick-on 12"x12" tiles and covered the plywood. It fits the top of her stove perfectly, and provides a large expanse of work space for her baking projects. It cleans beautifully, and is light enough to remove easily when she needs to use the stove. The total cost was under $10.00.
