Taking Care of Paint Brushes

What is the best way to take care of my paint brushes?

I always rinse then thoroughly with water (if latex paint) or paint thinner (if oil paint) and then wrap them loosely in newspaper. After they are dry, put them in a coffee can with the bristles up. The key is getting all the paint out of the rollers, although part of that is not dipping the brush too far down into the paint, just use the top half of the bristles.
