Dump pie filling in bottom of baking dish. Pour dry cake mix on top of pie filling and pat evenly. Melt stick of butter and pour evenly over top of cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Cool and eat. Especially good warm with ice cream or whipped cream. For variety, you can use other flavors of pie fillings.
We add a can of crushed pineapple to ours. We call it Dump Cake. You just dump in the crushed pineapples, dump in the cherry pie filling, and put the cake mix over the top and spread lil pats of butter on top! Bake and you have DUMP CAKE!
