When you file bankruptcy just on credit cards, what can you keep? We have a car and motorcycle loan that we pay on time.

Laws vary by state. When we filed, we were allowed to keep the house and car, if we wanted to. You still have to "claim" them as part of the bankruptcy, we just had to resign an agreement for them. (to keep paying them).

I would STRONGLY suggest that you contact a bankruptcy attorney to ask the question. First consultations are free :-) You may not qualify for chapter 7 bankruptcy, but may have to file chapter 13 - financial reorganization.

Hi,
You can keep your car, as long as you keep up with the payments. As for the motorcycle, that I'm not sure about, but if it's used to go to work, then I don't see why not.
