I purchased 8 stackable plastic mailbox slots and labeled each one with a family members name. All schoolwork and mail that is for other people goes in their slot. The kids use it to keep homework that they are working on. And when I run into field trip slips and permission forms I sign them and put them in to the child's mailbox slot. This teaches them a lot of responsibility as they have to check it and bring things back to school to turn in.
