To make a wind blower for Independence Day, buy several rolls of ribbon-red, white and blue of course!, and a wooden or metal embroidery hoop. Simply cut long strips of ribbon and tie onto hoop in some pattern or mix. Cut ribbon or thread or fishing line and tie to top in equal partitions so it hangs evenly. Hang outdoors near the entryway or in the yard from a tree and watch the wind blow you a freedom salute.

You can also save money by using 'cool whip' lids. Just cut the centers out, and use the rings in place of wooden or metal hoops.
