To eliminate cooking odors from your hands, onion, garlic, shrimp, etc., rub a few coffee beans in your hands. The oil in the beans will absorb the odors.

Any suggestions for removing banana pepper odor? I've tried lemon juice, baking soda, dishsoap, and even rubbing garlic to mask the odor. I am beginning to think I will never touch another banana pepper as long as I live!

lemon juice gets out garlic & onion quick....just be sure you don't have cuts ;)

Great Granny Vi is right once again! Stainless steel will remove any odor from your hands! In fact some kitchen stores will sell small soap size bars of stainless as "odor removers". I learned this from a friend's father who's a commerical fisherman, it's how they get the smells out!

Coffee beans are expensive, I just rub my hands back and forth on my stainless steel faucet a few times. Works every time. Great granny Vi

I'd never thought of that. I have heard though, from my mother-in-law, who used to do Party Lite, if smelling a lot of candles/different scents take a whiff of coffee beans between and it will help you smell the next scent instead of mixing up this one and the last.
