Trouble Changing Sleep Schedule

I'm having a hard time creating new sleep habits. I worked for years at a hospital getting up at 3 am. and I still wake up at 3 am. Now I have a hard time keeping my eyes open past 8 pm, any suggestions?

Try Melatonin. I am a terrible night owl. I don't like to take any form of sleeping pills. I talked to my 70 year old Doc he said he took one every night. Would not hurt me. I tried and it worked. It is made naturally in our brains to make us get sleepy. I started out on 5 mg which is a normal does. But on bad nites, I will take 10mgs. Only side effects that I know of is you may have a bad taste in your mouth at higher doses. It will go away. Just call your Doc and ask. I buy mine at CVS

Just force an extra few minutes out of each evening. Even if you are awake at 3 am, just stay there and relax for a little while longer. Eventually your body will adjust.
