Honey Granola Bars

Ingredients

  • 4 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 1/3 cup of coconut
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup peanuts or walnuts pieces
  • 1/3 cup wheat germ
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup oil
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup of dried, chopped fruits of your choice, ex. apricots...

Directions

Heat 4 cups quick cooking oats until brown (10 minutes). Add coconut, sesame seeds, salt, nuts and wheat germ. Heat together the honey, oil and vanilla. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Bake at 350 degrees F for 15 minutes. Remove and stir and bake for another l0 minutes. Add fruits and press in a jelly roll pan. Cool and cut into bars.
