I have vinyl accordion doors in my kitchen which separate the laundry area. They are in excellent condition but I would like to update them with something organic. I was thinking about decoupaging rice paper or gluing bamboo or even painting. Any ideas? Thank you!

Bamboo might break off with the back-and-forth of the doors. Ask at an art supply store (glue dept) what glue they suggest and what materials would work best for that application...I know you have art supply sores around Novato, but Home Depor or Lowes would give you good information too. Enjoy.

I'd be wary of anything that would be a dark color. How about removing the doors and using a curtain? a bamboo print? ps I understand that bamboo is a green thing to grow except for widespread use of chemical fertilizers, but the processing of it into fabrics, laminated boards, paper and so on is far from green. Can't win sometimes, eh?

Very creative?
Do some recycling and use canned good labels!
