As I recall when I lived in NC many years ago, food for sale had to be prepared in an approved, inspected (by food inspectors) preparation area or kitchen...possibly a church, school, etc. We could not sell food made in our home kitchens. This may have changed over the years. Good luck!

I would also go to a local Small business Administration they can make sure you are registered properly with the state and Federal government
