How do I clean nicotine residue off of porcelain? I have quite a handful of collectibles that need to be cleaned, as they have a yellowy reddish film on them. I need to be able to salvage the painted porcelain. Please help?

Try spraying well with vinegar and scrub well with a damp washcloth.

Request: Nicotine Stains on Porcelain

Archived on 09/03/2009

How do I get nicotine stains out of a porcelain bathroom sink? I have tried bleach and it didn't work.

RE: Nicotine Stains on Porcelain

You can try lemon juice. I have used pumice stone on stubborn stains, but I don't know if it was porcelain that I was cleaning. It was a sink and a bathtub that had rusty stains and it took them off.

Good luck,
