I couldn't find a thing on that subject but if you go to the ASPCA site there will most likely be a link where you can contact them to ask. If any organization knows, or can find out, they will :-)

One article I did come across written by a veterinarian about garlic cloves being toxic to cats and dogs (and onions because they are in the allium family) which was interesting to read because companies sell and people use garlic to remedy fleas. The toxicity had to do with the amount given to the weight of the pet.

Anyway, contact the ASPCA and let us know what you find out about spice cloves ;-)
