Nails Instead of Hooks

My husband has the bachelor habit of putting up nails or screws to hang things on in closets, in the walls of the boat, and on the side of furniture! It seems strange - but doing that rather than hanging real hooks can be a good idea sometimes - the holes are small, for example, and in a closet won't betray a renter and you can easily put nails on the sides of inexpensive furniture to hang towels and so on and they don't really show, the way hooks do.
