Use a Tooth Brush to Apply Teething Medicine

If you have a baby that's teething his or her back teeth, put the teething medicine on a tooth brush and brush it on. You could let the child brush their own gums if their old enough. My 17 month old granddaughter will brush it on herself, and we don't get bit.

It also gets them used to a toothbrush in their mouths so they are less likely to resist when it comes time to teach them about brushing teeth.
