Lemon Sherbet

This is a refreshing summer dessert that I have made time and time again. This can be made ahead if you are planning on company.



  • 1 pkg. lemon jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/4 cup sugar
  • dash of salt
  • 1 (6 oz.) can frozen lemonade
  • 4 cups milk (2% or whole)
  • 1 cup Cool Whip


Dissolve jello in the 1 cup boiling water. Stir in 1 1/4 cup sugar and a dash of salt. Stir in the frozen lemonade. Then with electric mixer, slowly add 4 cups milk.

Put in a 9 X 13 inch cake pan and freeze. After it freezes, break into chunks and beat again. Fold in the Cool Whip. Freeze again.
