Removing Red Dye From Plastic Bag On Polyurethane Coat |
I hope someone can help with this. The red dye from the store name on a plastic bag rubbed off on a polyurethane coat. I've tried baking soda, various detergents, even shaving foam! Any ideas out there would be appreciated. The coat is white with a gray design.

I wonder if using the degreaser you use on your hands after working on a car would work? My husband uses it on clothes before washing and it dissolves the grease but the clothes are fine. The main ingredient is lanolin. You can find it at walmart or an auto store. Maybe the lanolin in it will dissolve the red. Or try baby oil or eye makeup remover.
