Paying for Home Improvement Projects

Whenever you hire someone to do a home improvement project or yard work never pay the full amount upfront. Get an estimate in writing and pay no more than half upfront and then half upon completion. Even if you are hiring a family member or a friend, never pay the total amount upfront. It will insure that the worker is motivated to do the job the way you want it done.
