Whatever style you choose, make it larger than you think you will need - because you will find other uses for it!

I live in Wisconsin and we have Menards lumber stores everywhere. They provide free quotes for Garages and Carports. If you ask they will give you a complete material list with the quote. If you decide to purchase it from them (that is what we did) you then get instructions and a blue print from them. Have you checked with your local lumber store? I would guess they have something very similar for you.
