No Say Meringue
Ingredients:
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 cup water
3 egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions:
Combine the first 2 Tbsp. sugar, cornstarch and water blending well. Cook over medium heat until thick and clear. Cool completely and set aside.
Beat egg whites, add salt, vanilla. Add other cooled mixture, continue beating until it stands in peaks. Bake at 350 degrees F. until brown.
Use for all meringue pies. will not weep or crawl from sides of pie crusts.

I would like to see me make a nice meringue at least once! I will try your recipe but I have a question ... I don't know what to do with the last 6 Tbsp of sugar. Thank you. Los Angeles TX
