Cheese Toast With Bacon
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup grated or shredded Cheddar cheese
- Butter (at room temperature)
- Salt and cayenne pepper
- 4 slices bread
Cut the bacon strips in half and fry until about half done. Drain on absorbent paper towels. Beat the egg lightly and blend in the cheese. Spread softened butter on bread, then spread with the egg-cheese mixture. Sprinkle with salt and cayenne pepper. Place bacon on top and broil under medium flame until cheese is bubbly and bacon is crisp.
