I was using the "PROPER" Cornsilk Foundation & Power for over 20 years. There was nothing that beat it!
I used to buy it from Boots Chemist in the UK then when they stopped doing it I bought it direct from Chattem (UK). Then they stopped selling it. Someone said that Sally Hansen was doing it but ITS NOT THE SAME. Doesn't cover as good - Doesn't smell the same.

The Sally Hansen makeup is oily and nothing like the original. You can still get the original Cornsilk Powder on Ebay UK (its in the original Black Pot), but you cant buy the original Foundation anywhere. If I could get it, I would pay almost any amount asked. I miss it that much! As far as I am concerned Sally Hanson ripped off the name of Cornsilk because its NOTHING like the original product was.

I would like Sally Hanson to explain why they changed a product that was selling well and turn it into a cheap replicated version that sells for half the price!

I just bought Corn Silk Natural Matte Pressed Powder at a local CVS. They also had the colored one but I figured with no color I can't go wrong with matching my shade. They didn't have the foundation or concealer, or anything else. Otherwise I would have bought it all. So far I'm impressed.

If you ring CHATTEM (UK) LTD you'll be able to get the powder, but they stopped doing the foundation because of the market competition, which like all of you out there, is a real pain for me. I too only got on with the Corn Silk concealer (discontinued as well) and foundation, because it absorbed excess oil in my skin. Thanks to those of you who have done some homework and given some contacts.

I just bought it at Walgreens classic translucent naturally sheer pressed powder no color. The color is different from my old one. I never knew Sally Hansen made it.I think the smell is a bit different as well.

All I can think of is too keep calling customer service or email them. If enough women complain they will bring it back. I wonder how bad they could have been doing that they needed to change it. There is no powder like it at all. That's so bizarre because as far as other powders go they pretty much seem similar to me. Sure some are finer milled than others but none of them have the texture corn silk had which is what provided such good pore coverage and oil absorbency...at least for me.

As far as ebay goes there are only a few on there and the one I liked was the translucent pressed powder in no color, and that is nowhere to be found. Luckily I still have a bunch that I bought up when I noticed the new crumby formula! They are like gold to me! It's sad.

Anyway, please complain to the company and maybe we can bring it back!

I am soooo UNHAPPY now with the translucent pressed powder that they have! I've used it for over 10yrs for my oily skin. I don't know if anyone else has noticed but I find myself constantly having to touch-up with the powder throughout the day! The other bad thing is the actual powder applicator gets my face oil on it and makes it hard to reapply the makeup when needed. I start noticing not only my makeup getting caked on it...but oil spots are on the powder itself! I constantly find myself having to wipe of the powder puff to use again. Are any of you finding that to be a problem? I am in desperate need of a new powder...but don't know what to use?? Any suggestions?

I am also a long-time user of Corn Silk translucent loose powder, ever since it first came out and I have never wanted to try anything else. Why would I when Corn Silk was perfect. I think it is mean to stop selling something that good after buying out the company. The competition must have been too much for all the other companies.

I have been trying lots of other powders, L'Oreal, Cover Girl, Almay, etc and none of them can hold a candle to Corn Silk. Clinique skin brightner is close, but not it.

Sally Hansen please put this wonderful product back on the market in its original form and name. You are doing a disservice to your customers if you don't.

PLEASE BRING BACK LAST FORMULA FOR CORNSILK NO COLOR TRANSLUCENT PRESSED POWDER!

I can't believe they changed it again! I called customer service and they said that Sally Hansen always owned Cornsilk. Hmm. They also had the nerve to say the formula didn't change. Are they serious? Maybe I just spoke with an idiot but whatever. They have changed it two time since I have been using it, which is now going on 15 years. I did not mind the change to it a few years ago, but now it is just awful. It is not good for oily skin at all. It's so thick and does not go over oil well at all. It also changes color now too. I hope that enough women complain. The reason I felt it worked well on oily skin was because it was a bit gritty instead of silky, if that makes sense. It did a great job at making pores vanish also. I am so upset, and I have not been able to find a similar product so I don't know what to do. I have really oily acne scarred skin and it was the only thing I could use. I guess I'm just venting, but I really hope sally hansen pays attention!

I desperately need to find the Cornsilk Concealer it was fab. Lloyds Chemist in the UK still does the liquid foundation and Boots still do the powder. But PLEASE if anyone knows where I can get hold of the concealer I would love to know. I am just going to email Sally Hansen now and complain (if enough people do this - who knows!)

Me too! And it sucks, I've found it online before & bought all that I could afford at that moment & then went back to re-order & find that it's no longer in stock! It really does disturb me because no other makeup that I tried compares & I'm at a loss as to which brand I should buy now.

I agree with all the other comments. I've been looking everywhere for Corn Silk face powder (no color, translucent) everywhere, but no one seems to be carrying it. I see that I can order it online, but who wants to pay shipping for a product that I used to buy in stores? It's a great product. I have used it for more years than the 16-year-old writer has been alive!

I'm 16 and I'm VERY UPSET with Sally Hansen! I've been using the Corn silk "No colour" Concealer for about a year and I'm running out! It's absolutely perfect: Glides on smoothly, great coverage for under eyes, blemishes/pimples and scars, doesn't cake, AND IT DOESN'T MAKE ME BREAK OUT! What more can a girl ask for in a concealer?! So I'm praying that somehow my desperate cries for Cornsilk "No colour" concealer will be answered :D

Well, I have also been using it since 1987 and I love it! Like everyone else, it is the ONLY product that works with my oily skin. I found the ORIGINAL formula loose powder at a UK site called Weston's. I paid $30 for two packages including shipping. I know that is steep. But last time I found the Cornsilk/Sally Hansen stuff I paid $12 each anyways. This original stuff has the wallnut powder in it! I can't wait to get it! I was wondering why the past couple times I was able to find Cornsilk it was in with the nail polishes and stuff! Huh!

Just wanted you to know that I suffered the same dilemma. I have since found out that Walgreens.com carries it and you can order online from them. I have just googled in hopes of finding out about my makeup line...CornSilk! Come to find out we are all in the same boat. I AM OUTRAGED! I have never been able to find a replacement, and believe me, I have tried. I have been all over the Middle Tennessee region and have been unsuccessful in finding it. Please Sally Hansen.... hear our cry! We ask that you continue the line, especially the classic translucent "matte" powder. Nothing else compares to it; I am not even worried of the cost factor as long as the company begins distributing it to its loyal customers. I am in high hopes that you reinstate the product line and very, very soon!!!

And although we may be able to buy discontinued stock, this will eventually run out. HELP!! As I have been using it for about 18 years I am very, very upset. It is the best powder ever, and I have tried lots of others!! Hopefully the producers will see how popular it was and bring it back. PLEASE!

I've found Corn Silk at Big Lots and Rite Aid. It's not the same -- for one thing it doesn't have that wonderful fragrance it used to -- but it's still pretty good. By the way, I started using Corn Silk when it first came out(1964 I think it was) .You wouldn't believe how big the compact was then! Twice as big and twice as thick!

I have used Cornsilk Classic Translucent No Color Loose Power for almost 30 years. Once I found it, I never needed to try another powder. It is silky and really helps someone with oily skin like mine.
I couldn't find it for a few months and now that it is back on the market, I bought a box. As soon as I opened it, I realized the product was not the same.
It didn't look, smell, or feel the same. I looked at the back and saw it was made in Taiwan, not in the U.S., but the real problem is that the list of the ingredients is nothing like it used to be. Check for yourself. The special walnut shell ingredient is down near the bottom of the list instead of 2nd behind mica, which means there is very little in it. Talc is now a major ingredient when it wasn't in the old formula at all. It is a totally different product, and it is horrible. It doesn't control shine either. So this week, I bought Physician's Formula Mineral Powder. It doesn't compare so I will keep looking, but I am done with Cornsilk unless the original product is brought back.

They have a limited selection at Ulta Cosmetics, not sure if they one of them in your area. But if you like Cornsilk's line of makeup, you might like Physicians Formula. It's a tad bit more expencive, but it's noe of the only makeups that dont irritate my skin. I even get breakouts from Almay and that is dermatoligist tested/recomended

I've checked all of the sources mentioned in this thread and no one has it for sale, including Walgreens. I'll be contacting Sally Hanson next but I'm not optimistic. I've been a makeup artist for a modeling agency for years and the loose colorless matte powder was a total security for any skin that I would work with including mine! I'm not happy to say the least.

For those looking for the foundation, Almay has a nice range of tones in their oily/sensitive skin liquid foundation line, it's a nice alternative. The rest of the Almay foundations are worthless though in my opinion.

Hey, I love Corn Silk too! The translucent loose powder is great for creating flawless and matte skin. I usually get it from Boots. I think it is light enough not to make your face looked all caked in powder, but ensure enough coverage at the same time for oily T-zones. Great stuff, and smells lovely.

You can also get it from several online cosmetics stores:

The one I like is: The Garden Pharmacy:

Corn Silk is the only loose powder I can use with my overly oily skin. I have only a little of the powder left in my last container, so I thank those of you who shared clues to possibly finding more. Nothing else I've tried is anything like the "NO COLOR" one, and I just don't think any other brand can exactly duplicate the original formula.
As they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Someone should have listened.

And then I began to try to find more and it was GONE! I have yellowy, olivey, weird skin tones and this is the ONLY powder that is great on my aging skin. I am so happy to hear it may be available and I'll be off looking for it later today.

I too wrote to the company just recently and they said Cornsilk liquid makeup is now discontinued. I am digusted. I have used this product for years and it was the only one that didn't break my face out. I always got compliments on my complexion as well. I tried some other products and they either turn orangy or make my face break out. Why is it that good products are always discontinued. It worked just fine. Now I see they have some kind of "spray" on make up and tanner.

With Corn Silk, I had no skin problems. Now without Corn Silk, I'm miserable!! My face is breaking out. I'm devastated! I will definitely go online and complain to the company. Let's ALL do it so they will just 'have' to put it back on the market!

I found some in my Walgreen's. In the discontinued aisle. This is the only powder and makeup that I have ever been happy with. If I had known it was being discontinued, I would have bought as many as I could find. As it is, I bought all 3 that were on the display. So sad.

I swear by the CORNSILK LOOSE POWDER. I have been using it for about 15 years now. Not only have I not been able to find the Classic Translucent Loose Powder in MEDIUM, but in contacting the Sally Hansen customer representative - she was very rude. PLUS, the price to purchase directly from Sally Hansen is more than what you would pay in the store, plus there's shipping and handling...plus I would have to wait 4-5 weeks for it!!! C-mon CORNSILK...you've got to do better for your loyal customers.

I thought I was the only one going from store to store looking through the endless rows of cosmetics looking for the only make-up I was ever able to tolerate on my sensitive skin. I sure Hope I can find a source.

I have used cornsilk for over 20 years and it was the best make for my skin. This make was the best I have ever used and I have not found another make that I really like. This make up never broke my skin out and my skin was not shiney with this make up. I really miss this product. Will this make ever be brought back on the market ? ""

I went to the Sally Hansen site--they do carry some Cornsilk products but I couldn't find the liquid makeup. Drats! I, too, have been using it over 20 years and have never found a suitable substitute. They do have a "contact us" link--if they hear from enough disgruntled customers, maybe they'll bring it back. Everyone, write to them now!!

I can sympathize with all of you who are like me, totally missing the Cornsilk brand of liquid make up!!! I was a loyal user for over 20 years and have yet to find another brand that compares to it!!!

Because of the other replies here I went to http://www.sallyhansen.com and you'll see they have a large link on the left side that is the CornSilk logo (you may have to scroll down depending on what size resolution you're using). A new window will open up with all sorts of CornSilk products - including, thank goodness, the one I use - the pressed powder with skin brighteners.

I didn't look in the Sally Hansen section today at the store so now I'll have to either go back to the store or just order it online. They better not EVER discontinue CornSilk! I've been using it for a few years now (the regular pressed powder before the skin brightener one came out) and NEED it!! :-)

Liquid Corn silk was the best makeup, the only one I could mix with water while my face was wet, and blend in for a flawless look. I've used it since my teens ('70"s). Now I'm just lost without it, does anyone know of a water-mixable liquid makeup that's as good as Corn silk?

I just bought a Cornsilk pressed powder compact at Big Lots! a week ago. It is a nice cobalt blue, square compact with translucent powder. And it was only $2.99! I love Big Lots! they used to be Macfrugals and before that it was Pic 'n Save. I've been shopping there for 20 years.

try http://www.vermontcountrystore.com
they carry all kinds of things that have been discontinued elsewhere. if you don't see it, they also take requests for something if you can't find it. they will look.

I used the loose corn silk powder by Sally Hansen and couldn't find in any longer, I emailed the company about a month ago and yes they have discontinued all the corn silk powders. Good luck finding something you like. I'm using Loreal now and I really like it! Better than the other.

Corn Silk by Coty---haven't seen it in at least 10 years. It was most likely discontinued.

It is part of the Sally Hansen product line now, so look in the nail polish section.
