Glazed Doughnuts
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups scalded milk
2 packages. dry yeast
3/4 cup sugar
4 1/2 - 5 cups flour
3/4 cup margarine or butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. salt
1 cup mashed potatoes
Directions
Mix together sugar, salt, butter, mashed potatoes, eggs, scalded milk. Let mixture stand until lukewarm and add yeast. Mix in flour. Let rise once and roll out. Cut and let rise again and fry in deep fat. Makes 60 doughnuts.
Glaze Ingredients
1 package powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1 Tbsp. flour
2 Tbsp. milk
Mix and use for glaze on doughnuts.

This sounds yummy!!! Wonder if it work to cut recipe in half,,also would they freeze well?? Empty nest now,,,couldn't help myself but to eat them all,,,lol,,
