What can water softener products be used for? I bought it by mistake for calcium chloride pellets. These are a much larger capsule size and do not work for Damp Rid.

After a search of the web, the only alternative use I could find for the pellets is to help in hatching eggs, but I doubt if that does you any good.

Some people use it in place of rock salt, but there seems to be a general consensus that it works lousy.
