I am assuming by a flower loom you mean the round loom with pegs all the way around? If so, it is really easy. I do it all the time. The best instructions I found on the net were here: http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/how-to-loom-knit.html#ewrap
The scarf I made I just made it the length I wanted and then tied off the ends and cut off the fringes.
