Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Crisco
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 Tbsp. water
  • 1 Tbsp. clear vinegar

Directions

Mix the first 4 ingredients together then beat together the next 3 ingredients. This makes 3 crusts. Refrigerate 1 hour and separate into 3 balls. You can put into pie pan either rolled out on floured board or if you aren't good at that, piece it by hand and make a pretty edge. This is the only crust I make and it is never left on a plate. Bake in a 350 degree F pre-heated oven for about 20 minutes. I use it for lemon meringue pie and it is great. You can freeze in ziplock bags for future use.
