Never. Any vaccine has all sorts of poison garbage. Look up vaclib.org and you will see ingredients--mercury-aluminum-antifreeze-animal pus-and endless list of danger. Build the immune system. raw diet is best. Nothing from your local grocery store dog food aisle. See ingredients in the common dog foods. Usual first ingredient is corn. Corn causes allergy and immune shut down. Bad skin. You will buy problems when you buy immune busters. Even science diet usually has corn as first ingredient. You can fix great food at home. Combine at least some raw for health. Common foods can be prepared and portioned. freeze and your pet food bill will be less than buying the poison from your grocery store. Yes, poison.

Euthanized animals from the pounds are being put back into pet food. The Euthanol does not cook out. Google pet food contents and you will heave. Good to prepare foods such as sweet potato,canned jack mackeral, ground turkey, brown rice, veggies(raw and/or cooked. eggs, sweet butter, yogurt (yes often), cottage cheese, lots of ingredients can be found if you google health foods for dogs. When you build the immune system you have natural health. When you vaccinate you destroy the immune system.

Often times the Parvo shot gives Parvo. Rabies shot mandatory if animal control is active in your area. Have to do the rabies? Prepare Thuja (easy to get homeopathic available at lots of health food stores) to be given just before vaccine and for 3 days after. It helps some. Your pal will have a longer life, a healthy life with your good care. You deserve him and he deserves you. Never a better friend.

I breed Australian Shepherds and puppies get their first shot at six weeks, second at nine weeks, third at twelve weeks, and their fourth and last puppy shot at sixteen weeks which is when they also receive a rabies shot. They are then good to go for one year. (08/08/2009)

Puppies should not be taken from their mother at such an early age. They should be at least 6 weeks and preferably 8 weeks old. Puppy shots start as soon as you get them, especially parvo, which is a deadly disease in pups. (11/23/2009)
