Many cafes will give out quantities of used coffee grounds for your garden for free! Our local Borders does this and it is wonderful for the garden, esp. acid loving plants like azalea, lilac, hydrangea, etc. :) All you have to do is ask!

Starbucks keeps it for people to pick up. I use it in the composite bin. By the time it is composed with other things, I think it would be safe for dogs and my desert tortoise.

Beware if you have dogs running out doors !The coffee grounds can be fatal to dogs if they eat them!
