Brownie Pie

Ingredients
  • 2-9 inch pie plates
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate cookie crumbs (I use chocolate Teddy Grahams)
  • 1 cup chopped fancy pecans
  • 6 egg whites
  • few grains of salt
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • Cool Whip

Directions

Grease 9 in. pie plates. Beat egg whites and salt until frothy. Add sugar gradually, beating well after each addition. Continue beating until stiff peaks are formed. Blend in vanilla. Gently fold in chocolate cookie crumbs and nuts. Spread into pie pans. Bake at 325 degrees F for 35 minutes. Cool and will be crusty. put Cool Whip over cooled pie. Chill 3-4 hours or overnight. Garnish with shavings of any kind of chocolate. Can be made ahead.
