Painting Old Linoleum |
If you have linoleum that is old and dull you can try to freshen it up by giving it 2 or 3 coats of acrylic paint. After it dries you top it with several coats of polyurethane.

I have successfully painted old lino flooring. And it works well. I will use a faux finish to cover damaged areas. The trick is in the prep with good cleaning to remove any residue of any kind, good primer (dont skimp) and then paint and finally two or three coats of poly. If you are artistic, this can make such a charming look its unbelievable.
