Keyboard Buttons Not Working

Why don't my dot and del buttons work on my keyboard? Any help would be appreciated.

Meanwhile, you have two dot buttons, the second one on the number pad (click Num Lock first in the upper left corner of the number pad). For delete you can position your cursor after your item instead of before it, and use Backspace.

Sometimes keys don't work because they have something lodge underneath them, like crumbs or gunk. Cleaning it might help: http://www.computing.net/howto/simple/keyboard/
