I want to buy a Serger, but don't know which one has the best features. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I certainly agree with Rose...you must be very, very careful. I have an Elna which is very good.

Hi, I have a BabyLoc Imagine which I really like however I must tell you that sergers are very tempermental and are easily thrown out of wack. It is not as forgiving as a sewing machine when sewing over thick fabrics and certainly do not tolerate sewing over pins so be careful when you try out the machines especially if you sew heavier fabrics. I tried serging a jeans seam and bent one of the parts.

Take a trip to a sewing store that sells sergers and ask the sales person to demonstrate the features of each model. Then you will be able to make your decision on which make and model to purchase.
