I need to receive faxes but don't want to purchase a fax machine. Idealy, I would like to receive the faxes by email. Does anyone know of a good, relatively inexpensive service for receiving faxes by email?

Thanks,
LS

Check out http://www.efax.com . You can get a free recieve-only fax number from them, that receives faxes for you and sends them to your email address. The catch is that it's probably going to be a long-distance number. Meaning that if you wanted a local store to fax you a price quote, the store would have to dial a long-distance number. My free eFax number is in California, and I live in New Mexico.

You can also subscribe to their EFax Plus service and get a local fax number from which you can both send and receive faxes from your email.
