Depending on your business, a local online directory site is a good option. If you are a member of a professional association, they might offer a directory on their site that will allow people to search for business in their particular area. If you are wanting a website, I would recommend finding a reputable developer who understands search engines, and promoting small businesses on the web. You can spend a lot of money and not get a return on your investment, so do check references. If you need more information, or have more questions, let me know.
