- 4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 Tbsp. soda
- 2 cups boiling water
Combine flour and sugar in a bowl. Cut in margarine until crumbly. Reserve 1 cup of mixture. Combine molasses, soda and boiling water in a bowl; mix well. Add to flour mixture; mix well. Pour into a greased and floured 9x13-inch cake pan. Top with reserved crumbs. Bake for 35 to 45 minutes or until cake tests done, in oven at 350 degrees F.
