Hearth-side Cider

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups cran-raspberry juice
  • 4 cups apple juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 6 whole allspice
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 6 apple-cinnamon or orange spice herbal tea bags
  • 3 cups brewed tea
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice from concentrate or real lemon

Directions:

In a large saucepan, combine juice or cider, water, allspice and cinnamon; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add tea bags; cover and let stand 10 minutes. Remove tea bags and spices. Add brewed tea, sugar and lemon juice; stir until sugar is dissolved. Serve warm. 2 1/2 quarts.
