Nova (Pekingese/ShihTzu)

This is Nova, she is 6 months old. She is a Shinese (Pekingnese ShihTzu). We adopted Nova from the Humane Society. She was born in a vet's care after her mother (and many other dogs) was rescued from a puppy mill. We stood in line at 5:30 in the morning to get the option to adopt her.

Nova enjoys playing with her squeaky toys, as well as shoes and any bits of paper she can yank out of a nearby garbage bin. She plays with our older dog, Mally, and holds her own in every competition. Nova has a princess attitude about her, thinking she can take what she wants and those cushions are specifically designed to be used as her own personal perch.

What a sweet little Pek-Shih. This pic makes me want to pick her up and carry her around. She's so cute. A nice story and getting up that early to wait for her is a feather in your cap. She's one fortunate girl to have you as her owner.

Oh my, God Bless Your Heart. We rescued three poodles, two lived and one was so badly in need of dental care by the time we got her to the vet ..she lived only one year. We gave her all our love and she could run free in our fenced in back yard. I still miss her so much..her name was Bonnie.
Our other two poodles are doing just fine, Pompi and Buddie.

We need stricter sentences for the operators of these abusive puppymills. Let's work to close them, or have stricter inspections.
