Just wanted everybody to enjoy my brand-new grandson, Rowan.
My tip: Swaddling a newborn really works to calm them. Their nervous systems aren't quite developed enough to self-soothe when their own arm and leg movements startle them.

I have almost the exact same picture of my daughter. Your grandson is precious and adorable. I loved the swaddling technique, both of my kids loved it, All parents should do this when newborns get fussy and you don't know why. It truly works. Awesome tip.

So true! Regarding swaddling newborns. Papooses or their modern equivalents also work really well.
