Make door knob covers for every door in the house. Make your own patterns and use left over fabric, yarn and felt from bigger projects

OK, maybe it's just me but where are the directions to making them? I think this might be an invention instead of a craft project.

I was thinking the covers would make the knobs slippery as well....good home made child-proofing for the doors? until their grip gets stronger anyway.

If the covers are washable it could help with the spreading of colds from family member to family member. They say the knobs, phones and light swithches are some of the germiest areas

This might be a "dumb" question...but why would you cover the door knobs? Wouldn't making a cover for it make it slippery and not as easy to open? How would you then lock the bathroom door...you would cover up the little "button" in the center. Do you have a picture of door knob covers you have made and how they are used?
