Framed Cosmetic Mirrors As Bathroom Art
Framed Cosmetic Mirrors As Bathroom Art
Save or collect cosmetic mirrors (pick them up at sales or thrift stores) and hot glue them to an acrylic or glass frame. Some are upside down. You can mat the background with a coordinating fabric of your choice (under the glass). I used a black 100% polyester here. This is a fun and interesting conversation piece that can go where ever you want to hang it! I hung mine in the guest bathroom - over the toilet! Everyone asks about it!

Just so I have this straight; this is a glass frame, matted with fabric and you have the mirrors glued to the outside of the glass?

I use to do Craft Shows. The crafters that came up with a great ideal like this would sell them like hot cakes. Nearly everyone would want one. It would make good Christmas presents. I think you have a winner.

What a great idea! All of your make-up compacts that have mirrors such as eyeshadow, powder and blush that are usually thrown out could be used/recycled rather than throwing away! (It's difficult to tell in the picture but it looks like you might have one or two of those disconnected from the make-up reservoir in the collection).

Thanks for the tip!

This is such an awesome idea! It's something that you can make as small or as large as you like depending upon the size wall you want to place it on AND you can add those splashes of color - ANY color! I'm going to start saving all those mirrors!!

this is so cool! I just moved in to a new house with a second bathroom and was trying to figure out some kind of artwork to put in there. Thanks for the idea!

What a great idea! Very creative and stylish, too - not to mention that it recycles those pesky things!
