Using Lemon Juice for Fleas

Can I use lemon juice to get rid of fleas from the house and off of my dog?

I have never tried this but I read it on another blog that you can take 2 lemons and squeeze the juice out and let it sit overnight. The next day strain and put in spray bottle and spritz your pet with it and it gets rid of flees. Like I said I've never tried it but it appears someone else did. Good Luck
