I know this isn't for us humans, but if you're like me, you like to do a little something special once in a while for your dogs. They love this. I hope you enjoy sharing it with them! Just a little something different.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. raw liver, any kind (blended into a paste)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup corn meal (or flour)
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes for chewy dog treats or longer for crisper treats.

Editor's Note: Most veterinarians recommend avoiding garlic for dogs but some do advocate its use. Check with your own pet health care provider. You can simply leave it out of this recipe if you are concerned.

Do you roll it out and cut pieces first? Or put down by spoonful? Sounds healthy to me, but I will check on the garlic. Good luck. You could use this for doggie Christmas gifts!
