I have quite a few stain removing books and they all seem to recommend ammonia and cold water.
Not exactly sure what parts ammonia and what parts water. I would recommend more ammonia than water if you can stand the smell.

My son fingerpainted the hallway with mustard. We tried everything and finally painted over it but it came through the paint!

We finally sealed the mustard pictures with something suggested by the paint department and repainted. They told us that mustard is impossible to remove from walls with flat paint.

Love & Prayers,
Linda

Try Mr.Clean Magic Eraser ...This thing is awesome for removing all kinds of stains from the walls. I have a 6 yr. old and wouldn't be without this!!
