I am looking for green tomato recipes.
These look really good:
3 Medium unripe tomatoes
1/3 cup Cornmeal
1/4 tsp salt
Put tomatoes which have been drenched and pushed well into the mixture of cornmeal and salt into a hot pan with nonstick spray and a little melter butter already in it.
(Never immerse food in oil that is not hot. It soaks more of the oil into the food.)
Fry these until they are crisp which may be well over 8 minutes even up to ten or more minutes.
When they are crisp, then put them on a cookie rack, and let the oil drip into a pan underneath the cookie rack. They will stay crisp if the oil drops from them and it makes them healthier this way.
The middle of these tomatoes are very hot, so wait about 5 or so minutes before biting into one. These are so wonderful!
