I have a Red Lorie. He keeps picking on his breast feathers. I assume he has mites. Can I treat them myself? What do I use?

You need to find a local vet that specializes in birds and have him check your bird out. It may be just normal preening but I'd get him checked to be sure. Besides with a bird like that you really should have an avian vet for regular check ups and vet care.
