Craft Project: Recycled Crayon Holder

An easy inexpensive way to hold crayons, scissors, markers, colored pencils etc.

Approximate Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

  • 7 water bottles
  • 24 inches of ribbon
  • Glue stick
  • Glue gun
  • Scissors
  • 30 inches of string

Instructions:

  1. Take the 7 water bottles, wash and remove paper labels.

  2. Cut 6 of the water bottles to about 2 1/2 inches in height and 1 bottle to 3 1/2 inches in height.

  3. Heat up the glue gun and arrange the shorter bottles in a circle around the taller one in the middle.

  4. Take a string and tie them together snugly.

  5. Drip glue between the bottles to attach them. When the glue dries, take your 1 inch wide ribbon and cut to the appropriate length, so that it goes around the outside of the bottles.

  6. Glue in place and you're done!

Very nice. I also suggest that those liquid laundry measuring cups also be used. And also glued to a number 5 or 6 plastic 'tray' for stability.
